Paydiant allows merchants, banks and partners to integrate complete mobile wallet capabilities into their own mobile apps.

Background

Paydiant (acquired by Paypal) is the leading provider of cloud-based transaction processing, enabling merchants, banks, and payment processors to deploy and manage their own secure mobile payment and ATM access solutions.

Paydiant envisioned a hardware-free payment platform that allowed brands to build mobile wallet, payment or cash withdrawal apps. Their white label go-to-market strategy and patented platform design had to prioritize retailers and banks’ branding, data ownership, time-to-market and security issues.

How We Helped

Aeturnum worked with Paydiant’s requirements to collaboratively develop a flexible mobile payment solution allowing consumers to make mobile payments using technologies such as QR and NFC. This solution involved development of a real-time payment processing system that revolutionizes mobile-based payments. The server-side technologies include JAVA, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Integration, Hibernate and RabbitMQ. The client-side technologies include Google Android SDK and iOS SDK, which are used to build the Paydiant Mobile SDK.

The following key features and functions were required to be delivered.

01.

The Paydiant's comprehensive APIs and software development kits (SDK) streamline integration with POS environments and make it simple to build mobile wallet capabilities into the client’s iPhone and Android mobile applications.

02.

The Paydiant platform provides customers with the flexibility to support new technologies, reducing application development time and cost.

03.

Unlike hardware-based mobile payment platforms, Paydiant allows their clients to launch a mobile payment offering without requiring expensive and time-consuming hardware upgrades.

04.

Paydiant’s hosting infrastructure employs the latest in high-availability best practices such as 24x7 monitoring geo-load balanced and fully-virtualized private clouds, end-to-end gear redundancy, and WAN links with multiple providers.

05.

Paydiant keeps sensitive cardholder data securely stored in a PCI Level 1-compliant, SAS 70-certified data center.

06.

Paydiant’s system allows users to pay from different types of financial accounts without having to go through the complexities of authentication and transaction-related inputs.
